TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1
- 8:00-9:00 am – High Impact Meteorology in Production Agriculture
Eric Snodgrass, Atmospheric Scientist, Nutrien Ag Solutions, will discuss new technologies and observations that help increase farmers’ ability to manage weather risk.
- 1:00-3:00 pm – Grain Marketing Workshop
Ed Usset, Grain Marketing Economist, Center for Farm Financial Management, and Betsy Jensen, Farm Business Management Instructor, Northland College, will help attendees discover that great marketing is not so much about predicting prices, but eliminating mistakes in everyday decisions. They will also discuss what growers might expect from the markets going forward.
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 2
- 8:00-10:00 am – MGGA Resolutions Session
The heart of MGGA is our policy platform. Grower members propose resolutions that are vetted and approved by the membership at each annual meeting. These resolutions direct the efforts of the MGGA board and staff throughout the year.

- 1:00-2:30 pm – Farm Business Management Panel Discussion
A group of experienced business advisors will address current issues and share their thoughts on risk management and reflective observations and advice aimed to help grain producers evaluate, strategize and posture their farm business in a unique environment of change and disruption. Joel Schumacher, MSU Extension Economics Associate Specialist, will moderate the panel. Panelists include attorney Keith Tokerud with Scott, Tokerud, McCurdy attorneys; Curt Barnekoff, Wipfli; Randy Williams, Stockman Bank; and Northwest Farm Credit Services specialist Flip Zeren.
